Announcing Custom Attributes: Understand Your Users Engagement with Your GraphQL API

Blog post's hero image

We are thrilled to announce the release of Custom Attributes today that’s available for everyone right now in public beta.

This new feature allows users of Stellate’s GraphQL Metrics to define their own custom data points that will be tracked with every GraphQL request. You can add any header value, cookie value, or JWT claim as a custom attribute. You can then filter any part of your GraphQL Metrics down to a specific user or group of users to see how they interact with your GraphQL API.

Already sure you need this? Visit the docs or watch a full demo video to learn more about how to use Custom Attributes.

Custom Attributes are particularly valuable for services that power multi-tenant applications. By storing tenant identifiers as Custom Attribute, you can obtain metrics specific to each individual tenant. Another great use-case is storing user identifiers as Custom Attribute, allowing you to debug individual user journeys based on the requests they’re sending to your GraphQL API.

We're excited to offer this new feature to our users and look forward to hearing your feedback. Try it out today and let us know how it works for you!
